Lac La Biche Sporting Goods, located on Main Street in the Hamlet of Lac La Biche, is the largest volume dealer of Honda ATVs in western Canada. They have received the Arctic Cat gold level dealer award and the Lund Boats gold level dealer award.

Business Improvement Program Recipients
Chef Tao's The County presented a $20,000 cheque to Ms. Min Yang and Mr. Yue Tao Pei (owners of Chef Tao’s restaurant and Lucky 15 chinese restaurant) under the Business Improvement Program. They used the funding to upgrade the exterior of Chef Tao's Restaurant and make a number of interior enhancements (including new tables, kitchen equipment, and other operational infrastructure). |
Costa Cafe The County presented Ms. Hazel Costa (owner of Costa Cafe Seafood & Steakhouse) with a cheque for $2,000 under the Business Improvement Program. Ms. Costa made a number of upgrades to the front of her building, including a new sign and siding. The Business Improvement Program grants up to 20% of approved improvement costs, to a maximum of $20,000, to motivate local businesses to improve their facades and increase their curb appeal. In Ms. Costa's words: "This program gave me and my business the right opportunity, and I want to see other businesses on Main Street take advantage of this program to beautify the County." |
Four Seasons Clothing Lac La Biche County presented a $1,276.69 cheque to Gary and Allison Gross (owners of Four Seasons Clothing on Main Street Lac La Biche) under the Business Improvement Program. Four Seasons Clothing used the funds to upgrade their exterior signs, resulting in a more attractive, welcoming storefront for customers. "It's a great program," says Mr. Gross. "We're a couple years from finishing Main Street Lac La Biche, and this is a good start to that. It's nice to freshen things up so when folks come to Lac La Biche, they get a positive first impression." |
Lac La Biche Pharmacy County staff recently presented Mr. Mayur Patel with a cheque for nearly $1,000 under the Business Improvement Program. Mr. Patel, who runs the Lac La Biche Pharmacy on Main Street Lac La Biche, made aesthetic improvements to his new business to make it more appealing to customers. The Business Improvement Program grants up to 20% of approved improvement costs, to a maximum of $20,000, to motivate local businesses to improve their facades and increase their curb appeal. In Mr. Patel's words: "Any penny counts when you’re starting new, and I never expected that the County would have this kind of program. It’s encouraging for new business owners. Lac La Biche is my home now, and I’m happy to start a business here." |
