Housing Development Incentive Program
Council approved The Lac La Biche County Advantage Housing Development Incentive Program on August 18, 2026, committing up to $2 million in direct grants through a two-year pilot designed to accelerate new home construction, expand rental supply and strengthen Lac La Biche County's competitiveness for residential investment.

Major Development Project Incentive Program
Lac La Biche County Council approved the Major Development Project Incentive Program on August 18, 2026 creating a simple and consistent way to consider public infrastructure support for major private developments. The County is sending a clear message to investors: if you are ready to make a major investment here, the County is ready to work with you.

Business Improvement Program
The Business Improvement Program gives an incentive to local business owners to improve their facade and appearances. It can also be used to introduce new features and amenities that create interest, improve accessibility, enhance safety, and increase vibrancy, transforming places into spaces where people want to spend time.
The program grants 20% to approved improvement costs, to a maximum of $20,000.
General Program Guidelines
- Funding is first-come, first-served. Grants are provided as reimbursements.
- Projects must receive Council approval.
- All projects must be completed within 12 months of receiving approval.
